Lonely Doesnt Always Mean Alone

:) Lonely Doesnt Always Mean Alone By Mary Beth Bonacci God uses our solitude to reveal Himself to us. But we have to let Him in 2002-05-11 Long, long ago, before I was born, there was a girl group called, believe it or not, the Dixie Cups, who had a hit song called "Chapel of Love." There was a line in the song that said: "We'll love until the end of time, and we'll never be lonely anymore." Really? Could it be? Is marriage the ultimate panacea for loneliness? Are married people really never, ever lonely? A lot of single people believe it is. And a lot of formerly single people who married just to escape their loneliness have learned the hard way that it's not. Loneliness is a part of the human condition. Everyone experiences it. Sure, people who live isolated lives are sometimes lonelier that those who live with spouse and/or family. But not necessarily. Who hasn't felt

Ang Kape at Ako

Nakasama ko ang isang kaibigan kahapon. Nakita ko lang siya sa megamall. Nakita ko marami siyang kasama kaya lumapit ako. Umorder ako… Take out.

Psalm 100

Pahabol lang na article for Thanks Giving Day! I love what Psalm 100 tells us... Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with Thanksgiving; Go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, And His faithfulness continues to each generation. It is true that the meaning of this psalm is to give thanks and praise to our Creator. We are on here in the first place to serve Him and fulfill the mission he assigns for each one of us. He owns us and we are made for his pleasure. This is the reality that most of us have ignored for so long. Our soul longs for His healing. But we failed to recognize His existence and instead we rely on ourselves strength. Most of the time we failed to acknowledge all He has done for us. And th

Thanks Giving Day

My bread says it is Thanks Giving Day today... Yey! It officially starts today - November 24, 2005. FYI to all, Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Here, (in the Philippines) we don’t celebrate a Thanks Giving Day but since the company where I work, serve US-based clients, it would also mean a holiday for us also especially for the graveyard (night shift) people. (Good for them!)… (Also for us) For sure we will have fewer requests, less tasks meaning more time for other stuffs. Yippee! In the spirit of this day… I would like to greet all a happy thanks-giving day! Below are some facts on Thanks Giving… On the observance of Thanksgiving: · We give thanks for everything we have and enjoy. · We prepare thanksgiving meal enjoyed with (extended) family and friends, consisting of Turkey and fixings. · We join Macy's Thanksgiving parade in New York City · We watch Thanksgiving Football games · Listening to Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant&q

Point; and Have Patience

Point; and Have Patience by John Fischer One of our regular readers is a seventy something granddad that occasionally responds to me via email. This last week my “soccer devotionals” recalled to him his own experiences watching his kids and grandkids performing in various athletic programs, one of them being T-ball, that first experience children have with baseball, hitting the ball off a “T” and hopefully running to the right base while the other team tries to gather up the ball and get it to first base, or second, or third, or what-the-heck throw home just in case we missed the runner everywhere else. He remarked on how much fun it was to watch the excitement of the kids, but the part he felt was most important to see was the patience shown those little ones by their coaches. “We all need to be able to show that kind of patience with individuals seeking their way to Christ” he wrote. “Helping to point the direction of the goal can be very helpful to the young Christian.” This, in fac

Bothered

Kapag naiisip ko na mawalan ng hope...Here comes God to cheer me up and say ok lang iyan “I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5)...." Sino ba naman ang di gagaan ang kalooban at mase-secure sa mga salitang ito? Kapag nagkakaroon ako ng pagdududa sa ginagawa ko, I asked Him and say sorry kapag ngkamali ako. At kapag ok naman at approve ang ginawa ko, I feel better because I know somehow nago-glorify ko ang name ni God sa heaven in my own little ways. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.(Matthew 5:16) Sa totoo lang ... (Sigh!) Something is really bothering me. And I pray to God na sana mawala na rin yung “heaviness” na nararamdaman ko. I know He will make me smile at the end of the day. I just know. And hopefully He will. Maybe I just need to cry this out…para mawala. Hirap! Pero kaya pa…

Piece of Advice

Isaiah 28:23-29 (New International Version) 23 Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. 24 When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil? 25 When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cummin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, [a] barley in its plot, [b] and spelt in its field? 26 His God instructs him and teaches him the right way. 27 Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cummin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a stick. 28 Grain must be ground to make bread; so one does not go on threshing it forever. Though he drives the wheels of his threshing cart over it, his horses do not grind it. 29 All this also comes from the LORD Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom. Beautiful words from Isaiah. These words continues to give me strength.

Finally!

Finally! Finally, nakauwi na rin mama ko from her so called "vacation". Yun umitim siya uli ang I know it will take five(5) likas papayas for her to be back in her normal color… :D Hahaha! Together with my comedian papa, binuhat nila talaga ang saku-sakong bigas at ilang mga gamit naming sa bahay…(take note! Yung mga gamit sa bahay includes our books, a television, bolos, eggs, dried fishes and some clothes) Ang tibay talaga ng dalawang yun. Thumbs up talaga ako! From being a simple ate and mama, a “pwede ng” cook, a tutor, a seriotic developer and ang nakakasakit sa ulo na decision maker to the max…Yeeeessss! Sa wakas… Yey!!! Ang nangyari kasi this past few weeks ay nag-file up

Second Coming of Jesus http://www.lifetalk.net/2ndcoming/ee.html Jesus promised His disciples He would come again. It's in the Bible, John 14:1-3, TLB. "Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting God, now trust in Me. There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren't so, I would tell you plainly. And you know where I am going and how to get there." The angels promised Jesus would come again. It's in the Bible, Acts 1:10-11, TLB. "It was not long afterwards that He rose into the sky and disappeared into a cloud, leaving them staring after Him. As they were straining their eyes for another glimpse, suddenly two white-robed men were standing there among them, and said, 'Men of Galilee, why are you standing here staring at the sky? Jesus has gone away to heaven, and some day, just as He
