Hi! Heto na naman ako.
Oras: 11:45 AM
Haay! Na guess what kung ano ang nangyari? NAMAN! Huminto na ang ulan at umaaraw pa. Waaa!
I’ve seen an honest man…a good driver like my father.
I am currently reading…Phillip Yancey’s The Jesus I Never Knew. And just as I have expected…maganda talaga sya…Kaya naman nakakuha ng The Gold Medallion Book Award si Phillip Yancey…
Just want to share some excerpts from the book. Basahin nyo...Super eye opener talaga.
The more I get to know Jesus, the more impressed I am by what Ivan Karamazov called “the miracle of restraint.” The miracles Satan suggested, the signs and wonders Pharisees demanded, the final proofs I yearn for – these would offer no serious obstacle to an omnipotent God. God’s terrible insistence on human freedom is so absolute that he granted us the power to live as though he did not exist, to spit on his face, to crucify him. All this Jesus must have known as he faced down the tempter in the desert, focusing his mighty power in the energy restraint.
I believe that God insists on such restraint because no pyrotechnic displays of omnipotence will achieve the response he desires. Although power can force disobedience, only love can summon a response of love, which is one thing God wants from us and the reason He created us.
… Why does God content himself with slow unencouraging way of making righteousness grow rather than avenging it? That’s how love is. Love has its own power, the only power ultimately capable of conquering human heart.
God really has his ways of inviting us to know him more. He has loved us first before we have loved him. And so, God has given us all the right to choose if we will love Him back. He wanted us not to stand in awe of his majestic presence but He want us to decide to love Him. Because love can summon a response of love, which is one thing God wants from us and the reason He created us.
How nice… : )
